On December 3rd, 2022, Vietcombank Remittance Company organized a charity trip to visit Chanh An Primary School and An Phuoc Primary School in Mang Thit District, Vinh Long Province. Two primary schools located in poor economic areas, where the population is mainly subsist through agriculture (more than 70% of the population), visiting 11 children from poor and near-poor households, 15 orphans, 47 children living in difficult circumstances and 07 students with disabilities. In order to promote the spirit of solidarity, improving the sense of responsibility for the community to contribute toward fostering development in areas facing difficulties, with special priority given to education. VCBR donated practical gifts including 1,000 notebooks, 20 student backpacks, and 100 gifts for the children, contributed 16 million VND to the Study Promotion Fund… with a total value of nearly 45 million VND.
Furthermore, many VCBR staffs brought their owned personal donation of untensils and necessities, VCBR hopes to help motivate the children, to encourage them to strive in daily life, in study, to realize their own dreams and ambitions. With annual charity trips, the Grassroots Trade Union of VCBR wishes to promote and spread love and responsibility for the community, contributing to the socio-economic development in areas facing many difficulties, especially giving priority to the field of education for many students.
